Beyonce sets her sights on British high streets

In her first foray outside the North American fashion market, Beyonce will be launching a new range intended for this British market. The launch will be at Selfridge’s this September. It seems that the line will include items similar to what she was wearing on stage at Glastonbury this summer. Pictures from the line show her wearing hot pants and tribal prints.

These clothes are sure to please her fans, but for the more fashion conscious they may struggle with the movement away from this season’s style of simpler colours. Beyonce’s label, House of Dereon, was created by the star and her mother in 2004. It is named after her grandmother, Agnez Dereon. The clothes will be launched at London Fashion Week which is happening in mid-September. Clothes from the range will start from £80.

Selfridge’s will be the only store allowed to sell the range for six weeks. Then some lines will be made available in other stores, Fashion Rocks new flagship shop, which opens in September will be stocking some of the range. Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother has said, “we are both incredibly proud of the collection and are very much looking forward to seeing what the shopper thinks when the range becomes available this September.”
