Pete Doherty launching a line of clothing

Supermodel Kate Moss’ former boyfriend Pete Doherty is launching a line of his own clothing. He is working together with The Kooples, a French label to launch a line for both men and women that will include coats, blazers, and t-shirts with sketches created by the singer, of Byronic heroes.

The Libertines rocker is not new to design with this not being his first time, in 2007 collaborating with Gio-Gio a British label to design a T-shirt collection and in 2010 he designed a line of chains, cufflinks, pins and rings collaborating with Hannah Martin a former Cartier designer.

Inspired by Doherty’s longing to bring back the days where men had jewellery for their Sunday best he designed Albion Trinketry. With Hannah interpreting Peter’s ideas and with her custom-made approach to design a collection is ensured to be timeless and original.

There is a sense of history and regency in each piece yet touched with a modernity that reflects the past whilst at the same time nodding toward the future. The two’s designs shout modern luxury. There hope was to have collections that will stand the test of time and will be passed down through generations.
