Britney Spears is not known best for an incredible sense of fashion, but yet the manic Spears has signed up to design a clothing line by Candies the US retailer.
Spears will be in charge of designing clothes that seek inspiration from her tour for Circus, in which she mainly wore ostrich boleros, hats, and leotards. However, despite the fact that most people cannot wear these items walking down the street without earning some stares, Spears insists that the clothing range will have pieces that her fans will love to don.
The pop tart stated that most pieces came from her Circus tour mixed with clothing that she enjoys wearing on a regular basis. She mentioned that given the fact she loves denim the line will include plenty of it and that she aims to provide clothes her fans would love.
Spears added that she wants to create fun dresses for night wear as well as plenty of casual looks. She also has the privilege of approving every piece in the collection.
While Spears is the latest in a long line of celebs trying their hands out as a fashion designer, she is the perfect example of how celeb inspired fashion has gotten out of hand.
The fact that a celebrity is popular does not mean that they have a great sense of style given it takes years of experience and talent along with training to become a true fashion designer. Add in the fact that celebs often have stylists that create their own revered styles, and you have a combination that possibly should never make it onto the shelves.
