Kate Moss will no longer work with Topshop following the end of their partnership. She ended the venture even though she has reportedly earned millions from the business relationship. According to several sources, she will be replaced by Chloe Green, the daughter of billionaire Sir Philip Green. Kate Moss’ collection for autumn/winter will be the last that she will design for the fashion retailer.
Chloe Green has started a traineeship with Topshop, and she is reportedly looking to “launch her own clothing range”. Still, Ms Moss and Sir Green have stated that the split was good-natured. According to sources, Ms Moss would like to pursue other opportunities, and it was taking large amounts of time to put her collections together. However, she may work with other fashion ranges in the future.
Sir Green has said that it has been “fantastic” working with her, but that Ms. Moss has “other commitments” and will not be able to do this work for any longer. From the partnership, Ms Moss has made over £3 million, and Topshop has also made very large sums of money. Despite her rumoured use of cocaine, Sir Green signed Kate Moss following a charity auction event where he purchased a kiss from the model.
With the model’s collections, Topshop has received attention for several large publicity stunts, including one where Ms Moss posed as a mannequin at the retailer’s London store back in 2007. Topshop has over 400 stores worldwide.
