The New York based Macy’s has announced today that their new collection designed by Madonna and her daughter will launch in 200 stores across the United States and online on August 3rd. The first customers to shop the new Material Girl line will get a shot at special giveaways and at certain stores tees autographed by Madge herself.
Six of the Macy’s locations that are selling the new line will offer the first 200 customers in line a free bandeau top from the collection and an additional $10 gift card for Macy’s to spend in the store.
Those who want to go all out can also dress up like Madonna for a chance to receive an autographed tee at the participating stores. Those interested need to be in line however between 10am to noon.
In addition, select Macy’s will also hold events in the playful spirit of Madonna on August 3rd with all customers invited to join in and participate in the dance parties complete with treats and giveaways.
Executive vice president of marketing for Macy’s, Martine Reardon, stated that the launch of the new line is designed to get young trendy style setters worked up over the chance to own a Madonna collection.
Taylor Momsen, the celebrity spokeswoman for the range will appear at the New York City Macy’s Herald Square and perform from 3 to 7pm as part of the marketing promotion with lucky fans able to watch her from the juniors department inside Macy’s.
