2010 British Fashion Awards

Claudia Winkleman hosted the 2010 British Fashion Awards, held on Tuesday at the Savoy Hotel and Theatre in London, and the ceremony was star-studded.  Glamorous guests and presenters saw the best of British and international fashion showcased by top models and designers.

Alexa Chung was voted the prestigious British Style Award, and she showed off her style, appearing in a pale pink dress by Chanel.  Alexa told interviewers she loves to dress like a five-year-old, and the dress “really ticked that box.”

Victoria Beckham didn’t win any of the awards this time, but she made a dazzling showing in a slinky slit dress from her spring 2011 collection, reminding us that she’s not only a talented designer but also has gorgeous legs.

Kelly Brooke showed up in a fabulous black and gray split Suzie Turner dress that showed all of her curves to wonderful advantage, with Jimmy Choo heels to complete the look.  She turned everybody’s head as she swirled and smiled.

Emma Roberts opted for a short and saucy Julien MacDonald creation in black and blue, and certainly looked no older than her 19 years.

English model Daisy Lowe wore a long black and gold gown from Elie Saab and went for a gothic look with mussed-up hair and smokey eye shadow.

Then there was Samantha Cameron, the Prime Minister’s wife, who showed off her enviably narrow waistline but not much else in a full-length gown by Osman Yousefzada.  Sam-Cam, as she’s known in the trade, said she’s looking forward to being “fully involved” with London Fashion Week, starting next season.
