New York CFDA Fashion Awards 2010

Honorary Brit, Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Jessica Parker were the leaders of the fashion pack at the New York CFDA Fashion Awards 2010 looking quite like the style icons they are known to be globally.

Paltrow appeared first making a glamorous entrance in a black sequin gown designed by Michael Kors that was complete with her signature sleek, chic ponytail.

Parker followed up close behind and was stunning in a design by the late Alexander McQueen that essentially was a digital print maxi dress accessorized in typical Parker style complete with a bouffant hairstyle, a leather clutch bag, and bold jewellery.

Although Paltrow and Parker certainly stood out, also stealing the runway at the awards were Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Alexa Chung, Jessica Biel, and Whitney Port.

Top winner at the Fashion Awards this year was Marc Jacobs who won Womenswear Designer of the Year 2010 beating out Donna Karan and Alexander Wangand.

Also noteworthy was Christopher Bailey’s win of International Designer of the Year for his designs for Burberry, Iman’s win as Fashion Icon of the year, and Lifetime Achievement Award winner Michael Kors.
