Shocking suicide attempt by top fashion model

The cause or causes of Noemie Lenoir’s alleged suicide attempt may never be known, but it is quite certain that she was in great danger of fatal poisoning from a combination of pills and alcohol when she was discovered in a wooded area close to the home of Claude Makelele last Sunday.  The retired French international football star is Noemie’s ex-boyfriend and father of her five-year-old son Kelyan.

According to differing reports, Noemie may have called emergency services and then called back to cancel her request or Makelele called them and she cancelled. Others say he was nowhere in the vicinity, that Noemie was despondent because Makelele dashed her hopes of getting the relationship back on track.  At least one source told reporters that she had been staying with Makelele with a view towards family life.  No report mentioned the whereabouts of Kelyan at the time.

All of the reports agree, however, that Noemie’s (other) current boyfriend is Carl Hirschmann, a millionaire Swiss playboy who is currently involved in a scandal involving pornographic videos and blackmail.  He is accused of plying young women with liquor and/or drugs, then making X-rated videos of them, which he threatened to post on the Internet.  Carl is reportedly on parole in Switzerland, but Noemie has (reportedly) visited him there on several occasions.

Noemie Lenoir is well known in British fashion as the spearhead of a recent Marks & Spencer ad campaign, and has been featured in many other campaigns including L’Oreal and Victoria’s Secret.  She is said to be recovering well, but obviously there is no word yet on how her career might be affected.
