Posh should forget about singing and stick to clothes

Spice Girls-ex-Posh, Victoria Beckham, was told by Dane Bowers that she should continue to work within the fashion industry instead of returning to the pop scene as a singer. She worked with Bowers previously on her 2000 True Steppers single, Out of Your Mind.

Dane stated that that it would be best for her to continue with the fashion industry because that is where her future is and stated that she would probably admit it herself. Despite this fact, he continues to say that he has better vocal abilities than she is often given credit for.

Bowers went on to say that while Beckham will admit she is not a Mariah Carey, she can hold a decent tune given the fact she would have never made it into the Spice Girls if she lacked complete vocal ability.

Lately rumours have abounded that Beckham is harbouring plans for yet another Spice Girls reunion, with a source stating that the girls are very excited about getting back together.

The same source said that they are attempting to get Posh to join, which is the sticking point because while she enjoyed her time as a Spice Girl she has moved into a new career.

The source continued to say that while the other Spice Girls do not want to give up on her, they do have a lot of plans for the future and if she does not join them they may decide to go on without her.

Posh Spice and Big Bird

There have been some unkind comparisons made recently in reference to Victoria Beckham and Big Bird. Victoria, the beloved icon of British fashion for the young adult set, has come up with some really great designs and she has a large and loyal following that’s not confined to the U.K. But lately her flair for the dramatic has taken a wild flight into realms where very few would dare to tread.

The fluffy, feathery orange creation that caused a flurry of astonished and outraged comments from both fashion reviewers and fans was a shining example. No one, not even the most adoring fan, could find any redeeming qualities to extol. That was a Halloween costume pure and simple, and the only one who could get away with it was Big Bird, and that only when the costume was complete with bird legs and big head.

The fact is that when Victoria wears her own designs, she and they almost always look great. Certainly there are some whose physical proportions don’t quite match up with her favored fashions that nip in at the waist, but that’s just a fact of life that we all have to accept.

The point here, if there is one, don’t delude yourself that just because your role model wears it you’re going to look like that if you wear it. As Big Bird might tell you, clothes do not make the man, or woman. If you have to depend on the opinions of others, at least make sure they’re honest.

Posh Spice jumps into skinny model argument

Despite the fact that more plus sized models are taking the runway and the controversy continues to grow around anorexic looking waifs, the skinny model debate most likely will continue to for quite a long time more with skinny rail girls continuing to tout the stage in large numbers.

The latest celebrity to throw her not sp great weight into the ring is Victoria Beckham who stated that it is wrong to discriminate against anyone, regardless of whether if they are curvy or too thin. Beckham continued to state that she supports the measures by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) that urge designers to not to use models that are too thin on the runway.

Beckham has additionally thrown her hat into the ring as a backer of the new campaign led by the CFDA titled Health is Beauty which aims to get designers to work with models that are a healthy size.

On a side note, the last few weeks have been great for Beckham after her debut of her new collection of designer dresses at the Fashion Week in New York all of which have a 40s theme.
